Meet Jim

Employee of the Month
We would like to nominate Jim Foppiano for the April 2021 employee of the month. Jim has had an outstanding year. Given the unusual circumstances this year due to the pandemic, Jim remained a consistent and dedicated employee. His work ethic and genuine passion for his job make him a valuable employee and one that deserves recognition for making a difference. He has always been a dedicated employee but this year he has far exceeded our expectations. He truly loves this company and will do what is needed to improve the quality of services we provide. Jim’s dedication is evident in the fact that for all the years he has worked for this company he has never taken the full amount of earned time off he is entitled to, and when reminded that he has time to take he always responds with “I would rather come to work.” Jim has a great sense of humor and brings that humor to his job daily. When Jim came back to work from quarantine, he did an exceptional job as a handy man, painting whatever was asked of him around the building. He also makes sure the building is sterilized at the end of each day. Over the years, we have watched Jim work with many different people and seen the impact that he has had on their lives. He excels in forming honest, compassionate connections with everyone he works with, no matter who that may be. Jim always manages to represent not only himself, but Nashua Center in the best possible way. Currently, Jim works 1 to 1 with Laurie, and has done an amazing job. He has helped her by working on building her stamina back up with walking several times daily and using the stander. He helps her to be engaged in activities that she enjoys throughout the day. He is always asking managers and front office staff if they have any work he and Laurie can do for them. Laurie’s sister/guardian has commented several times in emails and meetings at how happy she is with Jim for the care he shows towards Laurie. She is truly very thankful. Jim Foppiano embodies everything that Nashua Center represents and is not only a valued member of our team, but a great person and friend. Some comments from staff are: “It has been great getting to know Jim better through all this.” “Jim is one of the only people who lets me know when supplies are running low.” “Jim does a great job with Laurie, makes my day to see her walking.” “Jim is always willing to help with whatever is asked of him.” “We appreciate the cleaning he does in the afternoons.” “Jim will stay late so I am not alone in the building.”
